Lectio Divina: Numbers 5:6-7

Prepare: Take time with God to quiet your mind and heart. Ask him to guide you through this rhythm. Ask him to help you to Abide deeply with him as you walk with him through this rhythm. 

Read: Read Numbers 5:6-7 slowly. Listen for what tugs at your heart in the passage. Reread it over and over.

Meditate: What struggle in your life does this scripture bring to the surface? Is there someone in your life that you need to seek reconciliation with? 

Prayer: Ask God to direct your prayer time. If there is anxiety that is coming up, ask God to bring peace. Ask God for direction in how to be able to seek reconciliation in a way that would find you faithful? 

Contemplation: Sit quietly, listen for God’s voice. Just be with him. 

Spiritual Discipline: Serving

A way that we can prepare our hearts for reconciliation is through the discipline of lovingly putting another before ourselves. This is especially true if you are serving the person that you need to reconcile with. Seek out a way in which you can put them first today, a way you can unselfishly serve them. If you need to, ask them. While you serve, bring the scripture of the day to mind, meditate on it.
